Quickstep & Cha Cha Course Extensions

Both our Quickstep & Cha Cha courses are going to be extended for a final 6 weeks from the week of 3rd April. Due to Easter Monday though there will be no class on Monday 10th April so the Cha Cha course will push week 2 back a week and continue from Monday 17th April.

Whilst the course extensions are primarily aimed at those that have attended the previous 12 weeks of the course, our more experienced dancers are welcome to join from this point.

Our Quickstep dance weekend break will take place at The Wessex Hotel near Glastonbury from 10th-12th March 2023. 

On this popular annual dance weekend we focus on a single dance in our workshops, including an optional technique class.

There will be a 2 hour Quickstep workshop on the Saturday morning of the dance weekend that starts with a simple sequence. We then build up so it gets progressively harder and students can stop if they feel they have reached their limit, and just practice what they’ve learnt up to that point.

On the Sunday morning we have a recap workshop to help solidify what you have learnt. Sometimes we may even throw in some bonus moves too!

Both nights of the break will feature a mixture of Ballroom and Latin American dancing, along with select sequence dances.

The Quickstep dance weekend (2 nights) costs £185 per person and this includes dinner, bed and breakfast.

All prices are based on 2 sharing a room. There is a £50 single room supplement (although we have 3 rooms without supplement available) but we have extremely limited solo spaces.

The Quickstep dance weekend will include:

• check in from 3pm on the Friday
• 3 course meal each evening
• breakfast on Saturday and Sunday
• Quickstep dance workshop on the Saturday and Sunday mornings
• ‘Improve your Quickstep’ technique class Saturday afternoon (£5 supplement)

Are you looking for a beginner course to learn how to dance the waltz? We have a brand new Beginner Waltz course starting from Monday 28th February with our returning instructor Tom Nickson.

It’s an initial 6 week course of 45 minute sessions at 12.30pm. Our One Dance Courses extend in 6 week blocks and can often run to 18 weeks! Every 6th week is a recap week, revisiting everything covered on the course in the prior 5 weeks.

What do you cover in the course?

Our courses tend to develop organically, based on the students taking part. We see what we feel works for the class in general.

However we would normally look to spend the first week or two on basics, but focusing on the general technique. This allows those less experienced in the basics to get more confident. Those happy with the basics can then work on improving their performance.

I’m a complete beginner, can I join your Beginner Waltz course?

Of course! This Beginner Waltz course has been designed to take you from the very basics and develop your understanding over the duration.

As you grow in confidence further extensions will then look to add to the steps and sequences you have learnt.

How much does the Waltz course cost?

Our Beginner Waltz course costs £45 per person, per 6 week block. Missed sessions cannot be carried over but we incorporate plenty of recap throughout the course.
