Our experienced instructor will work with you to create a memorable dance routine that is tailored to your preferences and skill level. We cater for all requirements whether you just want some confidence with basic steps or something more involved. We always work on the basis that you should look like you’re dancing, not trying to!

Bournemouth Discount Deadline

Sunday 30th April is the payment deadline for saving £15pp on our Bournemouth Dance weekend.

We’ll have Waltz & Salsa workshops, as well as a masquerade ball on the Saturday night.

Spring Dinner & Dance Deadline

Our Spring Dinner & Dance takes place on Friday 5th May but the booking deadline is Friday 28th April.

There’ll be a red/white/blue theme in honour of the King’s Coronation and places cost £37.50pp. Read more….

School Closed Coronation Weekend

The school will be closed on Sunday 7th May to allow everyone to partake in whatever festivities communities may be hosting.

Sunday Workshop Changes

Due to declining numbers in our Sunday workshops we have made the decision to cancel Sunday Improver, Intermediate and Advanced workshops with immediate effect.

Sunday Sequence & Social workshops will continue for the moment.

For the next few weeks both Antony & Denise will open up additional private lesson availability whilst we review what will take place on Sundays.

Changes to Social Event Regularity

As we now host a wide variety of social events over the course of the year we are going to reduce the number of Friday night socials.

Instead of having a monthly Friday social we will only host them every two months, when we don’t have another event that month.

As such our next standard social will be Friday 30th June, with our Halloween social then on Friday 27th October.

Waltz & Jive Courses starting next month

Our next One Dance Courses start in May. There will be a Jive course starting from Wednesday 17th May, and a Waltz course from Monday 22nd May.

Courses cost £45pp for a 6 week course. The courses get extended in 6 week blocks and often run for 18 weeks in total. Read more….

Glastonbury Dance Weekend

We had another great break down in Street near Glastonbury. This year we were teaching Quickstep and had a ‘Charleston’ theme to the Saturday night.

It’s always wonderful that so many of our students take the time to make the effort for these themes.

‘Silent’ Social for Comic Relief

Back in March we held a Ballroom and Latin American Silent Disco in aid of Comic Relief.

It was a great night and thank you to everyone who attended, or donated if they were unable to make it.

Overall we raised over £600 for Comic Relief, well in excess of our £250 target, and many students asked us when we were going to host the next one! Read more….

Good Friday Afternoon Tea

This year we decided to trial having our Spring afternoon tea on Good Friday, the idea being to allow you to pencil the date in every year.

It was a sell-out event and everyone had a great time.

Our next catered event is the Spring Dinner & Dance, and our next Afternoon Tea will be at Christmas (details soon).

The Hitched.co.uk Wedding Awards recognise outstanding wedding professionals from across the industry, based on feedback from actual weddings.

This year marks the second edition of the prestigious Hitched Wedding Awards. It is Learn To Dance’s first win (there weren’t a lot of wedding couples for us in 2021!).

Over 18,000 wedding companies registered on the Hitched.co.uk platform were in the running. However Learn To Dance received a total of 18 reviews on Hitched.co.uk with an overall rating of 5/5!

What Award Did We Win?

We won the Hitched Wedding Awards 2023 for Wedding Entertainment, which is the category they include First Dance Choreography in.

Learn To Dance, and thousands of wedding professionals in the UK have just completed an unprecedented year for the industry. 2022 was the year of the ‘wedding boom’ following hundreds of thousands of delayed celebrations. We still have wedding couples on the books that had to postpone their weddings due to the Coronavirus pandemic!

As a result we now have a special badge on our Hitched listing, which recognises us as winners of the Wedding Awards 2023. We also can display the badge on our Wedding First Dance Choreography page too. This serves as a marker of quality to the thousands of couples who use Hitched to book.

We are honoured that our previous wedding couples felt we provide a 5* service and we look forward to teaching more first dance couples in the year to come. (Antony has even had an enquiry to incorporate a choreographed light saber battle into someone’s routine…!)

Zoom Wedding First Dance Lessons Online

We’re getting a lot of enquiries for our wedding first dance lessons to be provided online at the moment. Thanks to our dedicated Zoom Dance Lessons setup, not living close to our studio is no longer a restriction on your ability to experience our dance lessons.

We are experienced in how to translate our dance moves into easy to follow instructions online. Our First Dance choreography lessons are tailored around your choice of song. We work with you to put together a routine you can enjoy on your wedding day.

Worried about whether you’ll forget the moves in between sessions? We record some of your Zoom First Dance lessons practices. You are then sent a download link and can refer back to the videos to assist your memory when practicing.

The great thing with our Zoom First Dance lessons setup is that we can be available at short notice. A lot of our wedding first dance lessons enquiries are coming in only a few weeks before their wedding. We provide lessons five days a week (including Sundays) but we can be flexible should you struggle to find slots.

With prices starting from £35 we have options to suit all budgets, including a number of First Dance package options. If you’d like to discuss our First Dance lessons get in touch or search our availability now.

Zoom Private Dance Lessons

Not able to make your booked lesson? Maybe you’re still nervous about the Coronavirus levels or live too far away to attend our studio? Don’t worry we can still provide dance lessons online via Zoom.

Whether it’s fun solo dance routines, learning the basics of Ballroom and Latin American, or adapting Sequence dances to your front rooms, we’re experienced in compressing the dances into confined spaces.

Did you know that during the 2021 UK lockdown we even adapted the Waltz as an 18 week online course!

Lessons can be booked as purely Zoom Dance Lessons (just choose the Zoom option when booking). But we are also able to switch an existing in-person session to Zoom if you find yourself unable to make a booked appointment at short notice.

Corporate and Team Building Online Events

Whilst we are experienced in providing dance sessions for corporate events and team building days we have seen a rise in enquiries for streamed sessions.

We run weekly sessions for EJEF (a English-Japanese language school in Buckinghamshire) which includes regular attendees from Japan. They also have colleagues that have taken part in the Zoom Dance Lessons from around the globe (including Denmark & Tehran).

Carers Wales enlisted us to provide a fun Saturday Night Fever workshop as part of their ‘Me Time‘ project. The project aims to support un-paid carers with their mental health, especially due to the effects of the pandemic.

The Zoom Dance session was a great hit, with one person even taking part from a houseboat! We loved hearing how well it went:

YouTube Dance Lessons

During the first UK lockdown we produced four videos a week to hopefully keep our students busy and entertained. With options for Solo dancers, Partners, Sequence and Kids we tried to make sure there was something for everyone.

Since the reopening of the dance school we have still tried to maintain a weekly online dance lesson on our YouTube channel. In fact our viewership quickly went global and only around 12% of our viewership are actually based in the UK!

A £25 per person deposit is required by 31st October, with the balance payable by 30th November. Strictly Come & Dance Charity Event 9th February 2013 Maidenhead Town Hall. Antony has agreed to defend his title in a charity competition in February, he’ll have 10 hours over 4 weeks to train a novice to perform at the Strictly inspired event and see if he can win for the second year. There’ll be judges marking the dances but the audience also get a vote so the more supporters we have the better! The winning couple will have at least £250 to donate to their charity of choice. Thursday Zumba Final Session Tomorrow: Unfortunately we have made the decision to drop our Thursday night Zumba classes after our 25th October session. We have not had a consistently sufficient number of students attending on a regular basis, and have been offered a private class elsewhere which fits into our schedule better. We apologise to those that attend and enjoy the Thursday class but hope you can make our Friday class at 6.30pm instead. There are plans to start a new class on a Monday evening (around 6.30pm) and we are just trying to find a suitable venue. If anyone knows somewhere suitable please let us know. Zombie Zumba Thursday 25th & Friday 26th September: Halloween is fast approaching and along with our Spooky Social we’ll be holding our ‘Thriller’ of a Zombie Zumba sessions. Remember there’s a £1 discount if you come dressed in costume. This week’s Zumba sessions take place on a Thursday at 6.10pm & a Friday at 6.30pm at Burnham Park Hall. Rumba Workshop & Halloween Social Friday 26th October: Our next social will take place on Friday 26th October and will be proceeded by a Rumba workshop. This will also be our Halloween Social so we recommend you dress appropriately (not compulsory)! Please remember that the Friday night workshops are generally not suitable for beginners as we don’t cover the basics of the dances. For beginner workshops please see our monthly Sunday workshops. The workshop starts at 7.30pm and costs £7.50 or £10 to include the following social. The social starts at 8.30pm and costs £6 or £5 if you pay in advance. Next Exam Session Sunday 28th October: Our next exam session takes place on Sunday 28th October Exams are available from complete beginners up to gold level and above. Please contact us if you’re interested in taking an exam. Private lessons are normally recommended in preparation. Also taking exams entitles you to compete in inter-school competitions if you’re interested in this side of dancing. Argentine Tango Master Class Sunday 4th November: Our next Master Class will be the Argentine Tango on Sunday 4th November, 12.30pm-3.30pm. These master classes concentrate on the technique of the dance in more detail, as well as looking at more difficult steps or complicated sequences that we don’t generally cover in our other dance classes. If you’re interested in attending please let us know. The classes cost £30 per person or £25 if you book at least a week in advance. Over 50’s Tenpin Bowling Thursday 15th November: Our next Tenpin Bowling session will be on Thursday 15th November at Absolutely Ten Pin , Salt Hill Park, Bath Road, Slough, SL1 3SR. The session starts at 2pm and typically finishes by 5pm, costing £2 per person. If you’re interested in attending please let us know. Beginner Viennese Waltz Workshop Sunday 18th November: Our next beginner workshop will be the Viennese Waltz on Sunday 18th November. Our beginner workshops run from 1.30pm-3.30pm and cost £20 per person (£30 for a couple dancing together). They cover the basics of the dance as well as trying to give you a basic routine you can use to get round the floor. Workshops are a great way to concentrate on learning just one dance. No Evening Classes Wednesday 12th December Hall Unavailable: There will be no evening dancing on Wednesday 12th December as the hall is unavailable. Classes will recommence then in the New Year and further details will be released nearer the time.
