The video lesson will last for around 30 minutes and we’ll start you off with a few basic beginner Salsa dance steps. There will be a range of steps taught and hopefully you’ll be confident in them all by the end of the class.

Throughout the class we’ll also teach you a simple basic Solo Salsa dance routine.

We’ll talk you through how to do the basic Salsa steps as well as a little on improving the technique of the beginner steps.

Our lesson will go live on our YouTube channel at 11.30am on Sunday 7th March.

You can join us during the live broadcast and the video will be available to re-watch after the lesson has finished.

Whilst you’re waiting check out our Solo Salsa Dance Routine that we released during lockdown 1.0. This also features some of the basic beginner Salsa steps, as well as a few trickier movements thrown in.

Monday 14th October will see our Learn To Quickstep course commence, whilst Thursday 17th October is the start of our Learn To Viennese Waltz course.

Our one dance courses cost £37.50 per person and start at 7pm on a Monday or a Thursday.

The Quickstep is a fast dance with plenty of intricate steps. However for beginners and improvers we start with getting you around the floor with confidence.

Viennese Waltz is the dance of the classic Austrian Balls. Here dancers twirl around the floor until the early hours. On this course we work on technique to help you avoid other couples – and getting dizzy!

Both our Quickstep and Viennese Waltz courses are open to adult beginners but are best suited to those that have been dancing for a while.

The courses start with the basics of the dance, working on developing good technique for those that are more confident. By the end of the course you should be confident in a basic pattern or selection of steps.

Solo spaces are limited on our one dance courses and booking in advance is recommended as our courses often sell out.

Designed for beginners our monthly beginner workshops are a great way to learn the basics of a dance in a concentrated 2 hour workshop.

We look at a different dance each month. This month’s dance is the Foxtrot.

Smooth, sophisticated, elegant. All words to describe Antony, but also his favourite dance the Foxtrot. Classic Sinatra and Bobby Darin are best but Paul Anka’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ is a great twist on a modern classic.

As with all LearnToDance classes and workshops a partner is not required.

Originating in Buenos Aires this father of the Ballroom Tango has a much freer and organic structure. In Argentina at the end of the 19th century the men practised with each other to become better dancers as the ratio of immigrant male workers to women was so high that only the best dancers could ‘get the girl’.

As with all LearnToDance classes and workshops a partner is not required.
